First Friday Reception – Noriko Sugita and Natalie Warrens

Our First Friday Art Walk in Beaverton artists are Printmaker Noriko Sugita and Potter Natalie Warrens. Each is noted for creating spirited and engaging works in their medium, with an emphasis on color, shape, design and a little whimsical fantasy.

Noriko has worked in a variety of media, but her current emphasis is on woodblock prints. Her pieces are known for their use of color and movement across worlds grounded in reality but highligting magical reality across realms of cities, nature, earth and sky.

Natalie’s work is known for its practical shapes but colorful designs perfect for everyday use. Her elegant and shapely bowls, platters and cups are designed to be interchangeably displayed and regularly used.
