April Exhibition Features Emerging Artists

This April, Grey Raven Gallery is proud to feature the works of over 20 local young and emerging artists from the Pacific Northwest. “Voices of a Generation” will have an open-house style reception on the evening of April 4th from 5:00–9:00 p.m. Enjoy our curated show alongside live music by young musicians and light fare. All are welcome, from art enthusiasts and artists to those simply passing through downtown Beaverton.

Beaverton Gallery Features Young Artists

Each of these artists has been carefully selected from those who submitted artwork to us between December 2024 and February 2025. They work in various mediums, explore a vast range of aesthetics and themes, and come from all walks of life. However, they’re united by their youth – every artist in this show is 30 years of age or younger.

Though our local fine arts community has grown more diverse over the years, young artists are sometimes excluded from this scene due, perhaps due to the notion that youth indicates their work is unpolished, or their ideas lack refinement. Outside of schools and colleges there are few venues where young artists are not only welcomed, but encouraged to show their art. For instance, fine art galleries in particular can be difficult for younger artists to find a place in.

However, it grows ever more vital for us, as both a local art gallery and an educational nonprofit that creates accessible art lessons for children, that we celebrate and support these young artists. Young artists can breathe fresh, innovative ideas into the art world as they push boundaries, challenge traditional norms, and create art driven by personal expression over an outside expectation of what art “should” be.

Support Free Art Lessons for Kids

All work will be for sale, and proceeds will be shared between the artists and Grey Raven Gallery. The gallery’s share will go towards Golden Road Arts, an Oregon 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides free art education to children, parents and educators. Grey Raven Gallery exists to support local artists, serve the community and fund Golden Road Arts, so when you purchase a piece of art from our gallery, you’re directly supporting the next generation of artists.
